The Second Eukhalion

48,000 - 19,200 BCE

Although the Xoth, Kiramaxoon and Enarkhiratahn eukhalia coalesced on the 4th planet of the Orgleron System (Y’gly’ron) by about 49,800 BCE, the Second Eukhalia is really considered to have begun when the three eukhalia, already space faring, had come to reclaim Xara’an in the Elkowan System: the so-called Classical Period.

Although the Second Eukhalia shared the species stratification of the first, there was no hierarchy outside of the clans. Most clans contained at least the three classical species of grey, smalleon and xorg, with some also containing yidi. These were often in the traditional specialised roles within the clan: the greys being diplomats and scientists, xorg being merchants and engineers, and smalleons being the agents, spies and communicators.

From about 22,000 BCE, the Second Eukhalia began, what is now called, the decline. There is considerable debate as to the cause of the decline, but it was characterised by a detachment by the living and a fragmentation into many other eukhalia. Such a fragmentation is counter-intuitive to anyone that understands eukhalia, leading to the aforementioned debate. Given that the decline has implications for the Third Eukhalia, there is considerable interest in understanding it.
