The Guild of Borland

Centred on the system of Borland, the so-called Guild is a stranded, post-Rift-Wars remnant of the Shipwright’s Guild of the Monarchrate. Following the Rift Wars, Shipwright’s Guild strikers stopped arriving in the Riccichane-Levy region, Helgar-Neti cyborgs were no longer able to contact their Establishment counterparts, and they realised that they were on their own.

Over the next few hundred years Borland and some surrounding systems came under a technocratic government in the style of the Guild Technocratium. The schemas that they control and develop were, as is often the case, the primary civilising force.
