This sector contains the System of Sol, the birthplace of humankind. It is also the residence of the Golem of Neolod, and as such the sector is regulated, and no unofficial business is allowed. You are especially not allowed to go to the star at the co-ordinates 0, 0, 0.

All of the Sol Sector lay within the Mark of Sol.

Rigil

The main inhabited system in the Sol Sector is Rigil, the primary of this triple system, Rigil A, is the administrative centre of the Technocratium, the position of the only functional portal into Jerrimoo Space and the primary terminal of Neo Rea.

Its entire population is involved in administration or various related scientific and technical pursuits or they service the commercial needs of them. This means that there is no large civilian population, like on some surrounding systems.

Barnard’s Star

The planets surrounding Barnard’s star hold little economic importance as it is a very old, metal-poor red dwarf. This has meant that its rocky bodies tend to be small and sulphurous, asteroids are few as most have been eroded from the system, and the energy output of Barnard’s Star is pretty feeble.

Luhman

Luhman is a close orbiting pair of young brown dwarves with a lot of rocky orbiting material. These features made Luhman the first extra-solar mining colony.

There are more than a 1000 large-scale, pre-nanotech fusion reactors that are still in operation, supplying power to habitats of a similar age.

Most of that original mining activity has long since simmered down, in favour of far richer mining colonies, particularly in the Ophiuchi reaches, 200 ly coreward.

Reeve

Reeve lies at the very core-tailward margins of the Sol Sector. Its own importance is quite low, except as a stopover to the more important systems of Sirius, Procyon and Wolf 359. The main feature of Reeve is the large matter refinery and its surrounding habitat and space dock.

Sol

Sol is most notable, of course by its 3rd planet, Earth - the birthplace of humanity.

Despite this, Earth itself is largely uninhabited by humans and is generally considered to be a biohazard nightmare.

All of the Sol Sector lay within the Mark of Sol.
