Canth (Ragger)

The canth is a tall and lean humanoid. Like xan, they have an inky black blood, which gives them a grey, decoloured appearance. Their skin and eyes run from alabaster white to a deep black. Their hair is similarly white or black.

The above is the best that MidJouney can muster, so don't take this image too literally (for example, one clearly is missing his tail).

Unlike the xan, canths are stooped and have digitigrade legs (meaning that they walk on their toes, the same way dogs do). Their faces tend to be longer than xan or humans, with the bottom area around the jaw protruding forward.

Their feet are like that of a rat.

Canths are taller than humans (up to 2.3 metres), very wiry and a bit rat like.

So, the canths should be really skinny, and wiry

They have a short, rat-like tail, which is heavy enough to balance them in their stooped stance. Their hands have sharp claws, but this doesn't stop them from fine tool-making. A canth could paint a miniature, so don't make their hands too rat-like.

Canths are a semi animal manifestation of the xanji. As xanji are lycanthropes, they can, from time-to-time, transform into canths. Many are born as canths, and can transform into other xanji as well.

While canths are somewhat animalistic they are very cunning, and are capable of great ingenuity.
