Freen

The baseline Freen is a stocky bipedal humanoid, standing between 1.0 and 1.3 metres in height. They have a rounded skull with wide-set eye holes and large nasal development. Their mandible is long and narrow and under cuts two large incisor teeth on the maxillae. The incisor teeth are only partially visible because of the philtrums (upper lips). Freens are covered with short fur, assisting them with heat and cold tolerance. Their superficially mammalian appearance, and bipedal lateral symmetry is attributed to convergent evolution, rather than any common ancestry to terrestrial mammals.

Appeareance

It was hard to get Midjourney to draw me the right thing - basically it wanted a cute, furry pet otter

Freens are aliens, so they're not even mammals.

They do have fur, its quite course and usually a tawny colour. Freens do not have whiskers - ignore what Midjourney has done.

Freens do not have protruding ears either. In fact they have four ears, which form a ring around the back of the head, starting from a position slightly below the ears of humans on either side.

Their eyes are entirely alien. They do not need to swivel them, so there's no lubricating fluid. They instead adjust their equivalent of a cornea to move their focus in different directions (they can also turn their head). Their eyes are black, or effectively all-pupil.

Freens have a lot of facial expressions and have learned to mimic human ones. They can certainly smile. They are wily characters, so the smile can look slightly amused.

Freen feet also have six digits but they are more like tree butresses at the end of the legs.

Freens are terriffic tool-makers and tinkerers and very capable with their hands. They have 6 fingers including the thumb, and these are slightly longer than human fingers.

Again, don't take what midjourney too literally, freen heads are slightly larger than any of these drawings suggest. They are, after all, sentient beings.
