Mog
Mogs are feline provolves (meaning animals that have in effect had their evolution shaped into sentience).
They differ from cats:
- by being bipedal
- larger brain case size, so the heads have to be more bulgy
- furry hands, rather than paws
They have the same digitigrade hind legs as cats, but as they must stand upon them, they need to be more robust.
The picture below captures a very typical mog. Although mogs can look like lions or panthers or any other cat, I settled for the classic mog.
A typical mog is really lean. They are like Bruce Lee in their skinniness. Mogs are slightly shorter than humans, but they are also much thinner on average.
Also, because they walk on their toes, their legs, overall look longer in comparison to the rest of the body. Mogs in the game have a really high base speed and its because they are really springy.
If you look at the hind leg of a cat, their heel ends almost a third of the way up the leg.
If you are intending to draw a female, remember that cats have six to eight nipples not two, so while they will have similar pectoral muscles to humans, female breasts don't bulge and there's more than two.
When drawing the hands, as with nearly all sophonts, remember that they need to be able to do fine work. I keep getting in my mind a mog painting a miniature. So if you can't see the hands painting a warhammer miniature, then they're not right. AI tends to draw paws, which, of course, would not work in reality.
Clothing
The tail, while not large, must be accommodated that in their clothing.
If the tail is uncovered, then they use something similar to shorts. When the tail is entirely covered, they have all sorts of arrangements. The tail does not reach the ground.
The tail, if shot, is for them, like getting shot in the leg, so combat armour will always cover the tail, unless it's like a ballistic vest, in which case, it is worn similarly to humans.
The head
It's important that there be enough room in the head for brains, so don't make the head too small. Their eyes should be kinda watchful, evaluating, they do a lot of thinking without saying anything.
