Definition

Society is an understanding of your own culture, it includes how governments are formed, where political power resides, what the recent historical events are and their significance to current events. It includes knowledge of who the important people are, and what families and institutions have the greatest sway. In academic terms, Society is the social sciences and includes the studies of sociology, recent history (of say the last 50 years), economics, geography and demographics.
