Description: Education and awareness of a culture and its workings.

Society is an understanding of your own culture, it includes how governments are formed, where political power resides, what the recent historical events are and their significance to current events. It includes knowledge of who the important people are, and what families and institutions have the greatest sway. In academic terms, Society is the social sciences and includes the studies of sociology, recent history (of say the last 50 years), economics, geography and demographics.

Search Public Records​

Use Society as an aspect on Investigation rolls to find out specific pieces of information from publicly-available societal records, such as from knowledge databases on telecommunications networks.

The information gained can be very diverse, from administrative records maintained by governments, shop and hotel pricing information to academic research papers.

Conceal​

You can use your Society skill as an aspect on Stealth+S to make you hard to find in any habitation, where there are thousands of individuals.

The Use of Stealth+S already indicates that you are using Stealth in a technical manner, with the Society ranks providing a suitable technical aspect. This is essentially laying low, not making purchases with tracable means, not being picked up on surveillance cameras and not attracting attention to yourself in any other way.

You can make use of this skill as an aspect on Track for the purposes of tracking a creature in an urban environment. Much of the tracking is cultural in nature, deducing the whereabouts of someone from a whole range of clues provided by hearsay, electronic calling cards, patterns of purchases and anything else left lying around.

The Investigation roll is performed through the Track technique, with the tracker's ranks in Society providing the technical aspect.
