Description: An understanding of corporate and government finance including trading, accountancy practices, profit and loss, taxation and various types of ownership.
You can use a Finance check to either understand, or deceive, persuade or otherwise modify financial records or general accounting. A knowledge of finance can help to to navigate complexities of corporate and government finances with regard to ownership, benificiaries and accounting practices.
You can substitute this technique for any action on Society where the knowledge is specific to financial structures or procedures in corporations or governments and financial entities (such as stock markets) themselves.
Know (free-act)
Know is the simplest substitution, which is used to recall facts on methods of accounting, common ownership structures and the like.

Bypass (main-act)
A series of actions (targeting people and procedures) that penetrates a financial structure in order to carry out other actions, such as the inspection or modification of records, the set up of financial instruments or make trades. The financial system may be an office with procedures, a computer system with records and processes, a stock exchange or some other arrangement.

There is a social version of this bypass, where you are setting up a Social Challenge (SC) instead of the Perception Challenge.

Success means that you have, through some way or another, convinced the relevant persons to grant you access to the financial system.
The Social Challenge (SC) remains and is the challenge that needs to be overcome by others to realise that you were never supposed to have access at all. If the Deceive bypass is intensely technical, you can set a Complexity Challenge (CC) instead.

This action represents your understanding of financial conventions to perform a systematic search of records. This is an Investigate roll, aspected by Finance.

Deceive
This version of the deceive action represents your understanding of financial conventions, used as an aspect to baffle, bluff or otherwise craft a false sense of reality against (usually) a financier or accountant.

In this version of the persuade action, you use your technical knowledge to mount convincing arguments as to a course of action. Other than the change of motivation, this works similarly to the deceive aspected action outlined above.
