Thermokinesis (Psikinesis)
Base(s): Psikinesis
Usage: attack(main-act, R, 1fp) -> chk(TC-A,seen)= +M* with 1(radius) -> imp(sv,Agility,8+M*) -> eff= fp•d6+M(hp,cold)
Mishap: insanity-1 (acquired on first ranks)
Description: Draw heat from a volume in sight.
You can use your main-act and spend a focus point to freeze a volume of a metre cubed, that you can perceive. If the target is a bath full of water then it will drop sharply in temperature, possibly freezing solid with enough focus points. If the target is a creature, then you can inflict fp•d6+M(hp,cold).
attack(main-act, R, 1fp) -> chk(TC-A,seen)= +M* with 1(radius) -> imp(sv,Agility,8 +M*) -> eff= fp•d6+M(hp,cold)
If you have 5 ranks or more in this technique, you have more control. Normally, you freeze an area by taking energy away from it, but now, you can channel this heat to another area. Analogously to the above, you can freeze one bathtub of water while turning another into water vapour. This means that you can attack two creatures that you can see, and if they fail the sv(Agility), you inflict fp•d6+M(hp,cold) damage to one, and inflict fp•d6+M(hp,heat) damage to the other.
attack(main-act,1fp) -> chk(TC-A,seen)= +M* with 1(radius) -> imp(sv,Agility,8 +M*) -> eff(1tg)= fp•d6+M(hp,cold) -> eff(1tg)= fp•d6+M(hp,heat)
