By spending 1fp over a scene, you can make a Psychometry check to see into the past of a particular person, place, or object with which you are in contact. You must be able to see or touch the subject of your power. The better the roll (the higher the challence overcome) the more accurate and detailed the information. As a guide to the GM, a 5 achieves a vague and the vision or feeling is metaphorical, rather than factual, 10 has a better resolution, but may still be a bit metaphorical, or its only a glimpse, 15 usually gives a reasonable account and an idea of the major event and its circumstances, grading up to 30, which will give an accurate timeline, location, people involved, and many of the consequences thereafter. The levels of success may be better if the information is associated with strong emotions or consequences.
You may also get spontaneous visions as a result of touching a person or object with particularly strong trauma or emotions at the GM's discretion. These visions could be something powerful happening in another location as in: "I felt a disturbance in the force". These unbidden visions do not consume any focus points.
