Description: An understanding of legal conventions, practices and procedures and its role in society.
You can use a Law check to either understand, or deceive, persuade or otherwise modify a legal decision or process. A knowledge of Law can help to to navigate the myriad complexities of legal practice in various domains of commercial, property, criminal and civil procedures, precedents and statutes.
You can substitute this technique for any action on Society where the skill is specific to the law and legal practices.
Know
Know is the simplest substitution, which is used to recall facts on a local law or statute, legal technicalities and the like.

Bypass
A series of actions (targeting people and procedures) that penetrates a legal system in order to carry out other actions, such as the inspection or modification of records, decisions, practices, chains-of-evidence etc. The legal system may be an office with procedures, a computer system with records and processes, criminal records, commercial contracts or some other arrangement.

Success means that you have, through some way or another, convinced the relevant persons to grant you access to the legal system or penetrated legal records in order to change them.
In the second part of the above expression (beginning with the -> symbol), you set a Perception Challenge (PC) with the Law technique aspected by your Stealth. The PC you set becomes the challenge any other legal expert, lawyer, para-legal or law officer that is looking at the change or data trail, must overcome in order to notice your bypass.
Therefore you make your Bypass attempt with:

At the same time you are setting a Perception Challenge (PC) for any other legal expert with:
set(PC)= 8 +M(Stealth+S) +R
This PC remains even after you have made your change and left, because its the challenge set for any other legal expert to notice that a change has been done and its out of the ordinary.
There is a social version of this bypass, where you are setting up a Social Challenge (SC) instead of the Perception Challenge (PC).

Success means that you have, through some way or another, convinced the relevant persons that what has just happened is legal.
The Social Challenge (SC) remains and is the challenge that needs to be overcome by others to realise that you were never supposed to have access at all. If the Deceive bypass is intensely technical, you can set a Complexity Challenge (CC) instead.
Search
This action represents your understanding of legal practices to perform a systematic search of records, or to discover if the law sanctions or forbids a given activity. This is an Investigate roll, aspected by Law.

Deceive
This version of the deceive action represents your understanding of legal practices, used as an aspect to baffle, bluff or otherwise craft a false sense of reality against (usually) a lawyer or legal expert.

Persuade
In this version of the persuade action, you use your technical knowledge to mount convincing arguments as to a course of action. Other than the change of motivation, this works similarly to the deceive aspected action outlined above.
