As a main-action, and by spending 1(fp), you are able to erect a a tangling psychic field around your mind, or that of a willing creature, that confers ½fp•d6+M(fp,temp) lasting for 8 hours.
The warded creature cannot use these focus points for their own purposes, but they present a confounding barrier to any psionic creature attempting a focus attack. They must spend their own focus wearing down these temporary focus points. Also these temporary points frustrate any attacks that involve the transferral of focus points to the successful attacker. Although the temporary focus points are lost to the warded creature, they do not get transferred, and cannot be used in any way.
